When we designed BCC's first workshop, we thought we knew what conservation professionals in Asia needed. What the 2025 Fellows taught us was both simpler and more profound than anything we planned for. This is an honest account of what happened when 28 marine conservation professionals finally had space to be real with each other- and what it revealed about what this work actually requires.
